Margaret River Ultra Marathon 2026
9 – 10 May 2026
The Margaret River Ultra Marathon returns on 9–10 May 2026, offering one of Australia’s most spectacular endurance events along the iconic Cape to Cape coastline.
This 80km point-to-point course begins at Hamelin Bay in the south and finishes at Howard Park in Wilyabrup, guiding runners through towering Karri forests, cliff-top trails, granite outcrops and pristine white beaches. It is a journey defined by terrain, resilience and the raw beauty of the South West.
An Endurance Event Like No Other
Designed to be both challenging and achievable, the Margaret River Ultra Marathon welcomes elite athletes and first-time trail runners alike. Participants can compete solo or as part of a team of up to five, with legs ranging between 10km and 20km. The event has sold out for the past four years, attracting competitors from across Australia and overseas who are drawn to its unique combination of natural landscape and community spirit.
Whether you are chasing a personal best or sharing the experience with teammates, the course offers moments of intensity balanced by sweeping coastal views and forested calm.
