Karnidale Circus Festival returns to the South West in January 2027 after a year off, bringing its purpose-built big top site in Karridale back to life with circus, cabaret and live music. Karnidale is the Southern Hemishphere's largest festival dedicated to circus and one of the region's more unusual events on the calendar, and one worth planning a stay around.

About Karnidale Circus Festival

Held on a ten-acre property 30 kilometres south of Margaret River, Karnidale is home to five big tops, an amphitheatre and a cabaret bar that together host circus acts, comedy, aerial performance and live bands across the weekend. Days lean family-friendly, with workshops and shows for kids alongside the main program. Nights shift into adults-only cabaret and sideshow entertainment. Camping is available on site for those who want to stay close to the action, though for a more comfortable base, many festivalgoers choose to stay in the wider region and drive in each day.
